James graduated from Lake Forest College with a B.A. degree in Business Administration and a minor degree in Economics. Prior to establishing Nash Medicare and Insurance Advisors, he had more than 50 years of working experience in the financial industry.

For 20 years, he worked in institutional corporate and municipal bond sales and as a Department Head of fixed income for a NYSE member firm. He also acted as a general partner in building, developing, and managing multiple-family residential properties for investment partnerships for over 10 years.

James is a member of the American Association for Supplement Insurance, and the National Association of Professional Agents.
